No one could have predicted that J K Rowling would one day become a best selling, living, multi-billionaire author after going through a low period of divorce, single parenthood, depression, unemployment and rejection.
Love should make you happy, joyous and harmonious — and not miserable. A man once said, “When love was strong, we could have made our bed on a sword-blade. Now that our love has grown weak, a bed of 60 cubits is not large enough for us.” Similarly, God is always with us and He loves and cares for us.Love is positive, but fanatical ‘love’ can turn into a destructive force. In life, we need luck, and many times our luck changes, but we must always maintain our equilibrium.
The sun, the stars, you and me are all just small happenings. Today, science is telling you that even the sun has a lifespan. Eventually, it will burn itself out. So whatever you see as physical existence is just a small happening. The true existence is the vastness, the emptiness that is there in you.
Baha’u’llah described God’s purpose for man thus: the purpose of God in creating man hath been, and will ever be, to enable him to know his Creator and to attain His Presence and praise him!
